How I Stay Organized!

AHH! So this last week has been hectic! We decided to take a trip to my grandparents in Indiana and of course there is no service where they live!

I apologize that I have not been able to post on here for about the past week! I started a new series and I am still working to get that going! I promise I will do a better job at it :).

So I started this blog post last Tuesday and decided to add if for this Tip Tuesday (but on Thursday).

would have to say what started my obsession with planners was the movie 'New York Minute'. Jane Ryan's day planner in the movie caught my eye! I would rewatch the scenes in the movie with her planner and just admire it! So I began my search to find myself the perfect day planner.

I have always been a fan of planning and organizing things. I always liked to keep a notebook or some kind of agenda with me at all times but nothing was ever working out. I decided to try the electronic way when I purchased my iPad. It was working great with just a few glitches: it was wayyyy to big, hard to jot things down, and not very portable.

When instagram became popular I began searching the hashtags for a better way to stay organized and seeing how others do it. I started searching with words like #agendas, #planners, and #organized. I was very happy to see how many people still use planners and agendas! One photo hashtaged the word 'filofax'. I thought it was just a fancy way of saying planner but I was wrong. It opened my eyes to a whole new world of organization!

MY FILOFAX

I had a rough beginning finding the Filofax and purchasing the one I wanted. I wasn't sure if this was the right thing for me so I didn't want to spend a fortune. I would have to say these planners do cost a bit more than others but it all depends on the style you want! I had a lot of help from the 'filofaxers' on instagram who helped me pick out mine!

The one I chose to purchase is the Filofax Metropol in the personal size in black. You can find it here!

So when you open my Filofax I carry a notebook (for quick notes & it is not pictured of course), my pen (from JCP), and some post-it notes in the pockets. For the card holders I typically put business cards that I am dealing with or just picked up along the way.

After that I have my 'dashboard' where I keep post-it notes of what needs to be done and memos.

I then have a pocket that I could not find something that could fit in it to I added a verse out of the Bible that my mom wrote for me and a photo of my fiance and I from vacation last year.

I then have two zip lock inserts that I keep my tabs and paper clips.

I then have an overview of what my planner will contain. I use highlighters and sticky notes to organize my information and details.
Blue: School
Pink: Work
Orange: Important Dates

I then use Avery Multipurpose Labels for my bills and birthdates.

Then comes my tabs. My first section is a week on two pages view. Here is keep my work schedule, appointments, and dates.

The second section is for everything else. This includes Mike's work schedule, things I need to do, birthdays and bills, ideas, etc.

The rest of my tabs are pretty generic. I have a section for information, then lists, notes, and then schedules.

In the back I keep my hole reinforcers, Martha Stewart tabs, and some notes.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Everyone feels organized in their own way, you just need to take a step and try something new!

Hey Guys!

I was super busy today so I didn't get to do a full makeup review or tip that I wanted to, but here's what I came up with! I hope you guys enjoy!

So growing up I always thought that lipstick was for grown ups, that girls my age only would wear lip gloss. We I started to get older and try new things I found that a lot of people my age were using a nude lipstick. Well I decided I had to join the bandwagon and find myself a nice nude lipstick (or close to nude).

Knowing me, I didn't want to spend a fortune on something that I may not like or use that much, so I went to our local grocery store, Meijer. Upon my research at home I saw many people using the new Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter, so my goal was to find that lipstick and try it out. I began trying other lipsticks and putting them on my hand to see the color and if their was a better choice.

In the end I chose the Creamsicle color 065. Plus I had a coupon!!

I am in love with this lip butter! It feels so smooth and last majority of my workday.

Before every product you apply on your lips always apply lip balm! I am in love with the EOS lip balms! I also did some playing around with my other lip products and I love adding a clear lip gloss! It just makes it more fun!

So here is my everyday lip wear:

I hope you guys enjoyed this everyday look!

Rainy Days

Hey Guys!!

So here is my first blog post in my new series Style Me Sunday! I decided to go with a simple outfit for a rainy day. All of these clothes are affordable and can be worn many different ways!

When I get ready for work, going out, or just to hang out I always go to my closet and pic out one item that I would like to wear. From there I just add to it.

So for this outfit I started out with the tank top underneath the jacket as my focus, and then added to it.

Tank Top: American Eagle
Jacket: American Rag at Macy's
Skinny Jeans: American Eagle
Belt: American Eagle

The jewelry I chose is pretty simple. Everyday I wear my Pandora bracelet and Pandora ring, if I am going to work then I add my watch.

Shoes: Gee WaWa {my aunt gave them to me}
Earrings: I believe American Eagle
Bracelets: Combination of places

Of course, you can always change the jeans to shorts and not wear the jacket.

Happy Fourth of July!

Hello guys! HAPPY 4th of JULY !!!

This morning my sisters, dad, and I participated in the Freedom 5K at our local park! I'm not much of a runner but I had a blast! After we went and got breakfast at Happy Daz.

Today is the day that we wear as much red, white, and blue we have to show we are proud to be an American! But that doesn't mean we need to go out and buy a tshirt that has a flag on it! You could just check your closet!

Here are three outfit ideas I came up with for tonight!

This first one is pretty simple to put together!
The top is just a navy blue top from Holister, add a red tank and some blue and white striped shorts and your all set with your red, white and blue!

You can always just add a cute white shirt and some blue jean shorts! Add a red tank and you have your colors for the night!

This last outfit is my favorite! I might wear it tonight!

There are so many outfits you can put together for this festive day!

Of course with every outfit you always need to accessorize with the right color of jewelry so don't be afraid to add star earrings and just red and blue bracelets!

If your going out to the park to watch some fireworks or walking around town, I suggest you always take a small side purse with you! Never pack too much, always pack what is needed such as: lip products, mirror, sunglasses, hand sanitizer, money, and a water.
